AUT Millennium, a multi-purpose high performance training centre on Auckland’s North Shore, is seeking swim school receptionists.
We currently have an Olympic size swimming pool used for swim training, Water Polo, Water safety as well as Learn to Swim Pool for children’s swim classes.
The reception positions will be based at an extremely busy facility, with swim school families, club members, general public and high performance athletes.
It will be a varied and challenging role.
To join the experienced and fun team at AUT Millennium, all successful candidates will need to have excellent computer and communication skills, a warm bubbly personality, and the ability to keep calm under pressure. Having an interest in swimming will be an advantage.

SWIM SCHOOL RECEPTION

We are looking for someone who has a passion for the health and fitness industry, enjoys working as part of a dynamic and hard-working team and loves being part of group fitness. We operate a freestyle timetable and need someone who has a vast knowledge in the industry and high level of experience to be able to coach others.
The successful applicant will be highly motivating, encouraging and positive, someone who is able to inspire and support our members and sub-contracting team that take group fitness classes to deliver a fantastic experience for all. The role is 20 hours per week.
Duties and Responsibilities – Included but not limited to:
Design and implement successful Group Fitness programmes – working with 65+ classes per week
Monitor Group Fitness programs’ performance and make improvements as necessary to ensure optimum service levels to members
Operate the department within budget guidelines and track/reconcile the group fitness budget on a monthly basis
Conduct evaluations of classes, coaches and instructors
Create and manage programming for a variety of special events, corporate wellness and schools
Recruit, hire and train high-quality group instructors
Resolve concerns from members, Group Fitness Instructors on any issues related to Group Fitness
Work with the club management team to ensure that Group Fitness scheduling and programming is running effectively
Monthly reports and KPI targets to maintain and improve
Requirements and Qualifications:
Practical and technical knowledge and experience of Group Fitness is required
Demonstrates initiative as an independent thinker with advanced problem solving skills
Ability to analyse numerical data and analytics
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively with internal company departments and business partners
Demonstrate ability in outstanding leadership, communication and interpersonal skills
Minimum qualification required certificate in Group training level 3 or preferred Bachelor of Sport and Recreation
5 years plus group fitness instruction is required
Qualification in group fitness (specific group fitness)
