Marketing Manager - Fixed Term Parental Leave Cover

Our Marketing Manager is heading off shortly on parental level so we are on the hunt for someone with passion and creativity to keep our brand moving forward while she is on leave.
As Marketing Manager for our non-profit organisation, you’ll need to be as at home in the boardroom as you are on the tools. You’ll have oversight of our marketing, communications, digital, brand and retail outputs and be required to muck in on projects, while also supporting the CEO and senior management with key strategic initiatives.
Key responsibilities in this role include:
- Maintaining and growing marketing initiatives for our business units and organisation as a whole
- Leading our MarComms team
- Identifying new opportunities for growth and/or organisational efficiencies
- Maintaining current sponsorship relationships
- Driving our commitment to customer experience
To thrive in this position, you will have:
- At least 5 years in a similar marketing leadership role
- A relevant marketing/business tertiary qualification
- Ability to connect with internal and external stakeholders
- Design nous
- An appreciation of the NZ sport and recreation landscape
- A values-based approach and passion for our purpose – helping Kiwis be the best they can be

Swim Teacher’s Wanted

We have an opportunity for a qualified Swim Instructor to join our team. AUT Millennium Swim School is one of the largest and most dynamic in Auckland, with over 2500 children swimming with us on a weekly basis.
We are looking for people-focused instructors. You have a friendly, approachable manner and enjoy building and maintaining positive relationships. No experience is necessary, we will provide full training to someone who demonstrates the motivation and commitment we’re looking for.

Aquatic Shift Supervisor/ Senior Lifeguard - Full Time and Part Time Positions
AUT Millennium is a charitable trust established to help New Zealanders live longer and healthier lives. From learner swimmers to gym goers to professional athletes, we’re a hub for health and wellness in our local community and beyond.
We’re looking to recruit a Shift Supervisor to assist with the management and co-ordination of our Lifeguard team, health and safety and supervision of the pool space within our multi-use sport facility including the Olympic swimming pool, National Aquatic swimming pools, Learn to Swim Pool and common associated spaces.
The Shift Supervisor will lead the Lifeguard team on duty in direct supervision of all water space, water quality monitoring and first class customer service delivery. You will lead by example on poolside during your shift with your professional, calm and helpful attitude and will trouble-shoot any issues which are referred to you.
The Shift Supervisor will be part of a team who will work together following processes and policies and demonstrating open communication and collaboration to ensure the safe, smooth and efficient operations of the pool space at AUT Millennium. You will help to promote ongoing training and professional development of the Lifeguard team to keep our users safe.
Working closely with our Team Leader Lifeguard, Aquatic Manager, and other Shift Supervisors, you will ensure our pools are actively patrolled at all times leading our Lifeguard team to be motivated, engaged and delivering a high standard of customer services to our clients.
Key to this role is your ability to connect with people, and a commitment to the purpose and vision of AUT Millennium – helping people be the best they can be. You’ll be a strong advocate for the value of our aquatic programmes and actively seek to enhance and improve on the delivery of our services.

Grounds Person
We’re looking for a full-time Grounds Person to join our Property team from Monday 8 January 2024.
To thrive in this role, you’ll need to be highly motivated, have great initiative and a desire to work in a high performance environment. Experience in property maintenance/greenkeeping and full drivers licence required.
AUT Millennium is a important part of the local communities sport and recreation facility network – with an outdoor athletics stadium and field (used for athletics and soccer/training), outdoor throws fields, onsite accommodation, swimming pools, conferencing and home to HPSNZ, AUT, medical practices and other sporting organisations.
This is an important role in our team, keeping our public and high performances spaces operating and presented at the highest standard, as well ensuring everyone from children learning to swim through to professional athletes are kept safe while on site ensuring AUT Millennium meets all health and safety and legislative requirements.
Our property team play a vital role in the health and safety of our visitors, planning and maintenance of the large facility, set up for our events and operations, and providing exceptional customer service to our members and customers.
With your knowledge and experience of groundskeeping and maintenance, you will work with the wider Property team with your professional, calm and helpful attitude and will be able to trouble-shoot any issues which are referred to you and will actively seek to enhance and improve the upkeep our our community facility.
To be successful in this position, it is essential that you have the following:
- A dedication to exceptional customer experience
- Experience in property maintenance/greenkeeping
- General fitness to be able to be physically active throughout the day
- Full drivers license
- Sound working knowledge of health and safety procedures.
