With improvements to the National Aquatic Centre and Millennium Learn to Swim Pool now complete, the next phase will see the Millennium 50m Pool revitalised with a surface upgrade. A PVC pool liner will be installed providing a smooth clean finish, and a 10+ year lifespan which will enable longer term continuity and access for the community.

The Millennium 50m pool will temporarily close from Monday 28 September 2026 while this essential work takes place.

We have worked hard to keep disruption to a minimum. Throughout the closure, there will be lanes available in the 50m Pool. Limited shallow lane availability will also be available in the NAC Learn to Swim Pool on weekdays at selected times.
