The National Aquatic Centre is New Zealand’s home of aquatic sport. The facility was built to meet New Zealand’s growing demand for flat-water, as well as a world-class competition venue. The centre is open to public swimming, events Swim School and Schools Programme, as well as being a training centre for high performance athletes.

We are open Monday to Thursday 5.30am to 9pm, Friday 5.30am to 8pm, and Weekends 8am to 5pm
Please note: This is a lap swimming pool not a play pool.
Everyone is welcome to swim at the Sir Owen G. Glenn National Aquatic Centre. We cater to a wide range of individuals, and offer great savings with concession cards and lump sum memberships.

CLOSURES & EVENTS
Occasionally the National Aquatic Centre may be closed, or partly closed, to accommodate significant events such as national swimming, surf lifesaving and water polo championships.
We aim to keep disruption to a minimum during these events.
Learn to Swim
AUT Millennium is a world-class facility with 2 Olympic-sized swimming pools and 2 learn to swim pools.
Our Swim School classes cater for all ages from water babies and toddlers, through to teens and adults. We have a class for everyone, whether you’re beginning your swimming journey or wanting to maintain fitness.
Our Swim School has 50 qualified and passionate swim teachers who are dedicated to helping people learn to swim. Our instructors undergo regular training and live and breathe swimming.
