What is the AUT Millennium Coach Development programme?
We developed this programme to help improve the level of coaching within our community and provide development opportunities for both new and experienced coaches.
Each workshop is facilitated by several highly qualified and well-respected educators within the sporting industry and covers a comprehensive range of topics. Each workshop is designed to be applied in your coaching and to assist with this, we run follow up forums two weeks after each workshop to help cement your learning.
We believe that this programme will be a huge asset to those coaches that participate! The wide range of coaching topics are based on key coaching philosophies/principles and are largely non-sport-specific. Facilitators with an extensive knowledge base will help you develop the necessary skills to become a quality youth coach.
Either attend just the workshops that you’re interested in or, take part in the at least three workshops to be eligible for accreditation.
2023 Workshops and Forums
All workshops are hosted at The Finish Line, AUT Millennium, 17 Antares Place, Mairangi Bay.
AUT Millennium Coach Development Accreditation
Our annual programme consists of four workshops. Participants that attend at least three of these workshop sessions will receive our AUT Millennium Coach Development at either Level 1 or Level 2. Accreditation includes a certificate of completion and can be added to your CV.
Which level is right for me?
The programme accommodates both beginner coaches with little to no experience as well as more experienced coaches looking to gain a more in depth grasp of key coaching concepts.
For those that are new to their coaching journey, we recommend Level 1. For those that have been coaching for a while but want to improve their coaching game, we recommend Level 2.
Costs
- AUT Millennium Foundation Clubs = Free
- General public = $25 per workshop (including follow up forum)
